Ratfolk are anthropomorphic rats in Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition. They are small humanoid creatures known for their exceptional senses, particularly their sense of smell, and their ability to scurry and climb with great agility.

Ratfolk are typically neutral or chaotic in alignment and are adaptable and resourceful. They often live in large groups in hidden communities and are skilled at crafting and scavenging.

As for gameplay, ratfolk receive a +2 bonus to their Dexterity score, as well as a +1 bonus to their Intelligence score. They also have the following traits: Darkvision (60 feet), Keen Smell (advantage on Perception checks involving smell), and Pack Tactics (advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the ratfolk's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and is not incapacitated).

Ratfolk can also choose from a variety of subraces with additional abilities, such as the City Rat (proficiency in Stealth and Thieves' Tools) or the Sewer Rat (resistance to poison damage and immunity to disease). Overall, ratfolk can make for unique and versatile player characters or interesting NPCs in any D&D campaign.
